Meatball serves one private Discord server, a tabletop roleplaying group. This page says what she handles and where it goes.
What she records
- Voice audio in a voice channel, only while a recording is running. A recording starts when a member asks for one, and Discord shows that she is in the channel. Each speaker is recorded as a separate track.
- Discord names and IDs of the people in the channel, to label the tracks.
- Transcripts of the recording, made on the group's own computer.
- Messages and commands addressed to her (a mention,
/ask,/speak, the desk buttons), to answer them.
Where it goes
- The group's home server keeps recordings and transcripts for 90 days, then deletes them.
- The group's Google Drive folder receives each finished recording and its transcript. That is the long-term copy. Meatball's Google access is limited to the files she creates there (the
drive.filescope); she cannot read anything else in the Drive. - Anthropic's Claude API receives the text of a question put to her, together with the wiki pages used to answer it. When the desk's scene summaries are switched on, it will also receive the text of a scene a member asks her to summarise. Audio is never sent.
- Discord stores what she posts in the server's channels, like any other message.
- GitHub, once members can send a scene to the group's wiki, will receive the drafted wiki page as a pull request.
Nothing is sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone outside these services.
Your choices
Recording is visible: when Meatball is in a voice channel, a recording may be running. To have a recording or transcript of you removed, ask in the server or write to meatball@rugbys.app, and the group's admin deletes it from the home server and from Drive.
Google user data
Meatball's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. She uses Google Drive only to upload the group's recordings and transcripts to its own folder.
